Those attending the 3rd International Congress on 3-D Dental Imaging have the opportunity to sit in on various presentations and panel discussions during the two-day event, as well as visit the nearly 20 exhibitors who are ready to show what they have to offer. The congress kicked off with a morning presentation from Drs. Scott Ganz and Jack Krauser. The presentation, “Lessons Learned: Incorporating Cone Beam CT and 3D Implant Planning, the Good the Bad and the Ugly” offered attendees a variety of case examples to illustrate what can go right and what can go wrong in 3D treatment planning, and that the learning is continuous.

“Once i-CAT is installed it’s not the end of the deal,” Dr. Ganz said. “It’s an ever expanding learning experience for you and your patients.”

The doctors presented a variety of examples, including single-tooth and full-mouth cases. They showed scans from the i-CAT and talked about the importance of using every view for treatment planning.

“It’s an unbelievable tool,” Dr. Ganz said of the technology. “It allows us to come up with these treatment plans.”
